The work of Envision is accomplished through task forces composed of interested citizen volunteers in cooperation with leaders in business and government from the five counties and Envision staff.

Those who have signed up to serve on a task force are contacted as task forces are activated. A thorough orientation session is conducted for task force members.

• Human Relations and Diversity
• Culture and Arts
• Roads and Mass Transportation
• Crime, Drugs and Public Safety
• Financing Public Services

Two goals listed below have been adopted by existing organizations.

• Youth - Adopted by the River Region United Way
• Linking Business with Education - Adopted by Partners in Education

The three task forces that have either completed their projects or combined with another task force are

• Downtowns and Riverfronts (retired)
• Events, Sports and Programs (retired)
• Economic Development (Combined with Tourism)
